Gary LeDrew lived on Louisbourg Lighthouse.as a child.  His great grandmother was
Joseph Howe’s  cook and his parents met a Beryl Markham’s Plane.
He  moved to and lived in Uxbridge Ontario. most of his life. Both of his parents painted.
He was artistic from an early age. He had several shows in Uxbridge
And many banks, doctors offices etc in Uxbridge still. hang his paintings.
He has had an adventurous life, including sailing in the Caribbean  on sailboats 
and delivering racing yachts and he  was a bosun on a Square-rigger. 
He hung out in the art scene and worked with several prominent artists and was a member
Of ‘The Electric Magnetic Spectrum’ one of the first Avante garde bands.
He has worked  in movies and the entertainment business
He managed a New Orleans Jazz band and ran a famous after hours club. He went about his life as an Artist and got into computers in 1981 to make art. It was so difficult to create graphics on early computers that he accidently became a computer expert. He spent 10 years as an executive for a large computer company. He had computer art exhibitions in Toronto and Uxbridge from the early 90’s.
He has painted most of his life and has had several Art Shows many featuring historic scenes of Uxbridge 
In 2004 he moved back to  Louisbourg,
photographing and creating Art of his favourite  place in the world.
Louisbourg Cape Breton Island. He now lives in Sydney N.S.
